About Zero Gravity Performance

I am the owner of Zero Gravity Performance. The company has been in business for 15 years. I have been working on vehicles since I was in my early teens. I started work at an auto repair shop when I was 15 years old. I worked on just about any part of a vehicle except automatic transmissions. In 1986, I was hired to work at the GM proving ground for their transmission engineering group. It was still called GM Hydramatic transmissions at that time, which later changed to GM Powertrain. I started as a transmission technician and learned how to build transmissions while going to college to get my engineering degree. I was involved with the GM Hydramatic Motorsports division and built, tested, and inspected the race and show vehicle transmissions. At the proving grounds, we also test production vehicles and their components under extreme conditions. When I transitioned into an engineer, I worked with the hardware systems development group. We developed the transmission components and the calibrations to ensure they were durable and met customer requirements. I left GM after 24 years to work with my own companies. I owned a transmission franchise while I was working at GM. This evolved into Zero Gravity Transmissions. The transmissions, controls, and other products we sell are some of the best in the business.
